Terms of Service

Sonora Socratic Academy ("SSA," "The Academy," "We"), a DBA of FunnelHarbor LLC, provides a 12th-grade academic core and technical electives (including The Automator's Guild). By enrolling a student or paying a deposit, you ("The Client," "Parent," or "Student") agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

The Academy offers a synchronous/asynchronous hybrid academic program ("The Core").

• Nature of Service: We provide academic instruction, Socratic seminars, oral exams, code review, and project defenses.
• Hybrid Structure: While much work is self-directed, mandatory oral exams and project defenses occur on a schedule. Students must participate in these synchronous components to pass.
• Outcomes: We issue an official transcript upon successful completion. We do not guarantee acceptance into other institutions, though our rigor is designed for college preparation.

2. Tuition & Payment

• Spring 2026 Session Rate: $3,600.00 USD per student (Total).
• Due Dates: Full semester payment of $3,600.00 USD is due by January 1, 2026. Payment in two quarterly installments of $1,800.00 USD (January 1 and March 1) is available upon request.
• Deposit: A $100.00 deposit is required to reserve a seat.
• ESA Funding: We are an approved vendor (tutoring) with the Arizona Department of Education (ESA Program). The full semester payment is due by January 1, 2026. Clients paying via ClassWallet must search for our vendor name, FunnelHarbor LLC, and submit the tuition invoice to ClassWallet by January 1, 2026, to authorize payment prior to the first day of the cohort.

3. Refund & Cancellation Policy

To maintain the viability of our small-cohort model, we adhere to a strict refund schedule. By reserving a seat, you agree to the following:

Phase 1: Pre-Start (Before Jan 5, 2026)

• Withdrawal: 100% Refund of Deposit and Tuition.
• Rejection: If The Academy declines a student's application, 100% Refund is issued immediately.

Phase 2: The "Trial Week" (Jan 5 – Jan 12, 2026)

• Withdrawal: If the student determines the program is not a good fit during the first week of instruction, The Academy will refund 100% of the Tuition paid to date, minus the $100 non-refundable administrative deposit.
• Note for ESA Parents: Refunds are returned directly to the ESA ClassWallet account, not to the parent personally.

Phase 3: Locked Enrollment (After Jan 12, 2026)

• No Refunds: After the first week of instruction, no refunds will be issuedfor any reason, including student inactivity, illness, or withdrawal. The Academy commits resources and staffing based on enrolled headcount; therefore, tuition is considered fully earned after this date.

4. Student Code of Conduct

We reserve the right to dismiss any student, without refund, for the following behaviors:

• Plagiarism: Submitting code or essays written entirely by others (or AI) without attribution or understanding.
• Harassment: Any abusive language towards staff or other students.
• Inactivity: Students who fail to participate in oral exams or submit work for 21 consecutive daysmay be administratively withdrawn.

5. Intellectual Property

• Student Work: Students retain full ownership of the code, essays, and projects they create.
• Academy Materials: The curriculum materials are the property of FunnelHarbor LLC and may not be redistributed without permission.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Academy is an educational provider. We are not responsible for:

• Data loss or computer issues on the student's device.
• Consequences of scripts written by students.
• Health/Disability: We are not a special education facility and cannot provide medical or behavioral therapy.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Pima County, Arizona.
